If I were to write a crime story, it would take place in a medieval monastery, and the book itself would be at least 500 pages long, heard the editor of a newspaper from Umbert Eco, who wanted to invite him to co-sponsor a series of criminal stories by the best writers.
The story continued, because later the Name of the Rose was written - one of the greatest books of the 20th century.
The Name of the Rose is not only a great crime novel, but also a study of human nature and a sketch of medieval monastic customs, which often avoids the path of severity and asceticism to stray into perverse abuses.
Without getting into the intricate threads - and this is a multi-threaded, intricately sewn book - we present our interpretation of this very widely read, repeatedly re-published medieval crime story, which has been screened in a cult film, as well as in the form of a TV series.
