The first Polish manifesto of proletarian poets.
"Set was a pioneering speech, announcing the creation of a group of revolutionary poets [...]; it was also one of the first manifestations of the trend of so-called proletarian poetry in interwar Polish literature" (LPPE)).
From the introduction:
"We do not write about ourselves. We are workers of the word. We have to say what other people in the workshop cannot say. In the merciless struggle of the proletariat against the bourgeoisie, we definitely stand on the left side of the barricade. Anger, faith in victory and joy - the joy of fighting - make us write. Let our words fall like salvos in the streets of the city center, let them echo in the factory districts. We are fighting for a new social order. This fight is the highest content of our creativity."
