Old Views and Engravings

Old views and engravings depict cities, monuments, buildings, and landscapes from past eras. They are unique testimonies of history and the development of graphics, valued by collectors, architecture enthusiasts, and those interested in historical iconography. At the Sobieski Antiquarian Bookshop, we present historical representations of places that allow you to discover their former appearance and changes occurring in the urban space.

Historical Views, Panoramas, and Prospects

Among old representations, panoramas of cities, prospects, views of streets, castles, palaces, and other characteristic buildings hold a special place. Created using various graphic techniques, they document architecture, spatial layout, and the character of places at a specific moment in history. Their value depends, among other things, on the author, date of creation, technique used, rarity, and condition.

Old Collectible Graphics

Original engravings and historical views combine documentary value with artistic qualities. Particularly sought after are carefully made prints, hand-colored graphics, and depictions of historically important places. Old views can be part of a graphic collection as well as an interesting element of interior decoration.

The Sobieski Antiquarian Bookshop invites you to discover old iconography, historical panoramas, and antique graphics. Each item should be evaluated individually, considering its origin, technique, and condition.
