Patavii 1682; pp. (2), VI, 572, double-column printing; format folio: 23x34 cm
The old print includes, among others:
A 50-page chapter on the Polish quilt - that is, De Pilica, the full name 'De Pilica Polonica' is given in the table of contents - started with a preface by the rector of the Zamość Academy dated 1599. It is therefore an interesting source material illustrating the activities of the first years of the Zamość Academy and the existence of Zamość As such. Further on, there is a text describing the issues of naming, where Polish names are used: Barszcz, Koltvn, Koltvnum, Gozdziec and their variants, here we also find a reference to the Zamość Academy. Finally, the chapter itself is preceded by a 4-page "Prefatio ad Lectorem" where there are also references to Poland, including the name of Tarnowski.
In the rest we find the following. chapters:
Omnia quam ante cura emendatiore (pars prima).
Praelectionum, Practicarum (pars secunda)
Praelectionum practicarum (Pars tertia).
In qua agitur de affectibus mulierum -
Patauini Professoris Medici Primarij : De febribus Proemium - De Melancholia - De Lue Venera - De Pulsibus - de Vrinis.
In all chapters, the whole medical knowledge about given diseases is given, with reference to the predecessors from Galen. Numerous treatments for a given disease are given with very extensive and transparent prescriptions for various types of drugs.
