Jerzy Skarzynski (born December 16, 1924, in Krakow, died January 7, 2004, in Krakow) was a Polish painter, theater and film set designer, book illustrator, and educator.
He was a member of the Second Kraków Group, a group of young artists centered around Tadeusz Kantor. Jerzy Skarzynski's paintings are held by the National Museum in Kraków, among others.
He participated in numerous group exhibitions and held solo exhibitions of set design (Kraków 1974, Szczecin 1975, Opole 1976, Zamośc 1979, Stockholm 1978).
He created a large number of book illustrations and press illustrations. He collaborated with the weekly Przekrój.
He designed film, theatre and cabaret posters, as well as occasional ones, such as for the 1st Jazz Music Festival in Sopot in 1956. Based on a script by Tadeusz Kwiatkowski, he created the 6-issue comic book Janosik.
