Mickiewicz - Dziady part III, pub. Paris 1833 with the author's bust

The second edition of the text of the third part of "Dziady" (the first edition appeared as "Poezje" vol. 4 in 1832), and the first separate edition of this work [!], One of the most important in the history of our literature.
"The inner title page is noteworthy, composed in an intricate arrangement of various fonts, and next to it a delicious engraving by Oleszczyński, depicting the bust of Mickiewicz from the medallion of David d'Angers. Below the engraving, Oleszczyński's dedication to Stefan Witwicki, in French. Print of the text [...] beautiful and exemplary "(Semkowicz 145). "The second edition of 'Dziady' is one of the most beautiful Mickiewicz prints published during the lifetime of the poet [...] Antoni Oleszczyński [...] is simply astonishing with its expressiveness and artistry" (Syga 106)).
